How To Turn On Or Off Fast Startup In Windows 10

Fast Startup (also known as Hybrid Boot) is a new feature introduced first with Windows 8 to start a computer faster than the time required to start a PC with traditional cold startup. Fast Startup is present in the latest Windows 10 as well, and is turned on by default.

How Fast startup works?

According Microsoft, when you shut down your Windows 10 PC, after closing all running applications, Windows automatically saves the copy of loaded drivers and kernel to a file called hibernate file (hiberfil.sys) located in the root of the drive where Windows 10 is installed.

As you likely know, the hiberfil.sys, is usually used by hibernate feature but when you send shut down signal on a PC where Fast startup is turned on, the hiberfil.sys file will be used to save loaded drivers and kernel before shutting down, so that Windows can quickly load them back into memory when you turn on your PC.

Because Windows saves loaded drivers and kernel to hiberfil.sys file which is otherwise used by hibernate feature, in order to enable Fast startup feature, hibernate feature must be turned on. For those who are not aware, Windows creates hiberfil.sys only when the hibernation feature is turned on.

So please make sure that Hibernation feature is enabled on your PC before proceeding further. Refer to our how to enable or disable hibernate feature in Windows 10/8 guide for detailed instructions.

By default, Fast startup is turned on and Windows uses the same instead of cold startup (traditional startup). But if you have a feeling that your PC starts slowly after shut down, checking the status of Fast startup is a good idea.

Turn on or off Fast startup in Windows 10

Tip: If you have turned on Fast startup but want to perform a traditional cold shut down once in a while without turning off Fast startup or hybrid boot, open Command Prompt as administrator, type shutdown /s /f /t 0, and then press Enter key.

Step 1: Type Power Options in Start menu search box, and then press Enter key to open Power Options window.

Alternatively, right-click on the Start menu to open the power user menu, and then click Power Options to open the same.

Step 2: In the left-pane of Power Options window, click the link labelled Choose what the power buttons do to open System Settings window.

Step 3: Here, click the link named Change settings that are currently available.

Step 4: Scroll down, under Shutdown settings section, check the box labelled Turn on fast startup (recommended) to enable fast startup feature. Unchecking the Turn on fast startup box will turn off the feature. Once select or deselected, click Save changes button.

And if Turn on fast startup option is not appearing, as said in the beginning of this article, it’s likely because hibernation feature is turned off on your PC. You need to enable hibernate first, and then follow these steps again to see Turn on fast startup option.

If the hibernation is turned on, you must see Hibernate option under Shutdown settings just above Sleep and Lock options.

Turn on or off Fast startup using Registry

Step 1: Open Registry Editor by typing Regedit in Start menu or taskbar search box, and then pressing Enter key.

Step 2: Once Registry Editor is launched, navigate to the following key:

HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Control\Session Manager\Power

Step 3: On the right-side, locate the value named HiberbootEnabled, double-click on it, and change the value data to 1 (one) to turn on fast startup. Set the value to 0 (zero) to turn off the feature.

Quick fix for slow Chrome browser

현대자동차 로고는 혼다의 로고처럼 영문 'HYUNDAI'의 'H'를 형상화하는 것이라고 생각하는 것이 일반적이다. 그런데 현대차 로고에는 우리가 생각했던 것보다 많은 의미가 담겨있었다.

미국 데일리뉴스에 따르면, 현대차 로고에는 재미있는 비밀이 숨어있다. 우리가 알고 있는 H 형상은 사실 딜러와 고객이 거래를 마치고 악수하는 것을 형상화한 것이라고 한다. 우리가 생각했던 H보다 훨씬 깊은 의미를 가지고 있었던 것이다. 현대차에 따르면, H 형상을 감싸고 있는 타원은 지구를 형상화 한 것이며, 세계로 뻗어나가는 현대자동차를 상징한다.

기아자동차 로고에 대한 말이 많다. 일각에선 너무 특색이 없기 때문에 교체할 필요가 있다고 주장하기도 한다. 누가 봐도 기아자동차의 로고인 기아자동차의 로고는 타원 안에 브랜드의 이름을 그대로 새겨 넣었다. 타원은 현대차와 마찬가지로 지구를 형상화했으며, 세계로 뻗어나가는 기아자동차를 상징한다.

쌍용자동차는 두 가지 엠블럼을 사용한다. 통상 왼쪽에 있는 것이 국내용, 오른쪽에 있는 것이 해외용으로 인식되는데, 요즘에는 국내 모델에도 사용된다.

쌍용차에 따르면, 왼쪽에 있는 '쓰리 서클'은 무한한 우주공간 속에 쌍용 차만이 가질 수 있는 독특한 아이덴티티를 함축하고 있는 공간을 형상화한 것이라 한다. 선도경영, 열린 경영, 정도경영을 세 개의 원으로 나타냈다. 오른쪽에 있는 해외용 로고는 '윙 로고'라고 불린다.

르노삼성차는 브랜드 이름에 '르노'라는 이름을 달았지만 로고는 지금까지 계속해서 유지해오고 있다. '태풍의 눈'이라고 불리는 르노삼성차의 로고는, 이름처럼 태풍의 눈을 형상화했으며, 차별화된 자동차를 만드는 역동성을 상징한다고 한다.

What is sperm sample producing / men's room at a modern fertility clinic like

This is my experience of producing sperm sample for sperm analysis test at City Fertility Centre.

You enter the the building and complete the reception stuff, and the receptionist will ask you to sit down and wait.

Soon another lady will come and guide you to a small room. She will explain you to fill out the form and write our name and date on the semen collection container. She will advise you to lock the door and press the bell once ready.

Inside the room there is a comfy chair with paper placed over it.

There is also a sink to wash your hands before and after masturbation.

 The room has an aircon. Temperature is cool.

Then there is a supporting media such as pornographic magazines, TV with a USB device containing few movies.

Once your job is done, press the buzzer and the lady will come to collect the sample and you can go.
